This is a "Wednesday's Wisdom" post previously sent to MD Community members before being posted here on the blog. If you want to receive these the moment they come out, subscribe to the newsletter! I saw this quote the other day... "As we begin to get more connected to our soul, we spontaneously begin to find ourselves in a different place in the world, and in our lives...because we are being led by a deeper field of Intelligence than just the doubting mind. What's leading you?" - Rod Stryker ...and it struck a chord with me... Trying yoga for the first time was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I actually wish it's something I had the courage to start before my late 20's. Even at the very beginning, practicing yoga weekly played a pivotal role in developing self-awareness to re-direct my life and be a leader for myself. For the first time, I felt more connected to my soul...my undeniable self.
I used to feel like a follower a lot more than I do today, and I have yoga to thank for increasing my confidence, developing physical and inner strength, and fostering a heightened awareness of who I am, what I stand for and what truly makes me happy. Of course all of that is ever-changing...but now I am an active participant in my life, my health and my dreams. It seems as though life can get more complicated and chaotic as we get older and experience more things...no matter how many kids, pets or jobs we have. Yoga can improve our quality of life in SO many ways, and I've found that many of the benefits actually come as a pleasant surprise. What's leading you? And what will help you arrive so you know who you are when you get there?
