We picked up this little boy yesterday! Kid #2We named him Saratoga, and are calling him "Toga" for short. Saratoga is a town in Wyoming (our current-living state)....which we have yet to visit. We'll be bringing Saratoga to Saratoga very soon! I'm pretty sure I've forgotten most of what puppy-hood was all about! The minute we walked in the house, he started pulling on the corner of the rugs. Ugh oh. Gallatin (our current lab) never did that as a puppy. Hmmmm....! We let him roam the house solo for a while just to get used to the place and soak up the new smells. After a little bit we brought him outside in the back yard to meet our current dog, Gallatin (3-year-old yellow lab). We weren't sure exactly how Gallatin was going to act around an 8-week-old puppy, he's never really spent time with a dog that young before. Either he was going to treat Toga like a normal big dog, or realize it's a baby and be gentle. Well, Gallatin got that crazed look in his eyes and tried to hyper-actively play with him as if he were also 100lbs! Poor little Toga was a bit scared of Gallatin for a while. After a little instruction and discipline, Gallatin soon understood that Toga was just a baby, barely even coordinated enough to walk straight. A few hours later, our Gallatin was like a different dog. They were playing sweetly and nicely. Gallatin was even playing tug-a-war so much gentler than how he does with anyone else or any other dog. Toga was able to forgive Gallatin for sitting on his face earlier in the day, and they both moved on :) Puppies get tuckered out faster than a ...... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz Above: For a while, he tried to figure out how to not fall asleep with his face in the water bowl. After many epic fails he was able to prop it off to the side of the bowl...just his ear is in the water now. So far so good....the adventures of 2 humans & 2 dogs begins!

I know it! We are so happy that both our dogs get along well (it was something I was worried about). I never had dogs growing up, so even a second dog is a new experience for me! Thanks for the comment. I'm about to post another puppy article (oddly enough, it will be related to yoga haha!) There are more fur-baby pictures to come!
